Have you presented this in the UK this year? |
|
If yes, how does your submission build on that work? |
Our work on Gender Based Violence (GBV) was exhibited at the RCOG World Congress 2023 as an e-poster (not oral or poster presentation). During this parallel session, attendees will learn how to develop teaching programmes internationally. We will be using the GBV project as one of our successful examples. We will provide a multitude of networking opportunities. |
Interactivity: |
Explain the ways in which you will ensure your session will be interactive/encourage participation from workshop attendees? (polling and Q&A will be enabled via the conference app) |
1) Dynamic presentation. We will utilise polling and Q&A. Should there be the facility, we would also be happy for participants to submit case studies that can be worked through in the workshop for practical advice and improvement by panelists and other participants. If we get a large session, we are likely to find ways of including international participants from Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Norway and Holland in the session.
2) Q&A at the end with a panel discussion.
3) Polling. |
What are the benefits to DEMEC attendees, your institution and/or to the medical/healthcare community? |
Our parallel session will enhance the knowledge and skill of building international collaborations for delivery of clinical education. In our experience, a lot of UK NHS and academic staff really value the type of work we do and the opportunities we have developed. It has helped them in their career development and to think about their wider work. |
If at all, how do you plan to involve early career researchers in your session? |
By attending our session, early career researchers will have an opportunity to learn how to develop teaching programmes internationally. We will also provide networking opportunities and signpost various opportunities for adding these experiences into their current work and current careers. |
