Dr Ruth Austin is currently a Speciality Trainee in Geriatric Medicine in Yorkshire and recently held the role of Wellbeing Fellow for Internal Medicine Trainees (IMT) in SW London. She lead a range of projects aiming to improve resident doctor wellbeing and worked to raise the profile of this important issue locally and nationally. Dr Austin has a strong interest in medical education, working as an honorary lecturer at City, St George’s, University of London and believes that the wellbeing of the workforce is paramount to the future of healthcare and facilitating high level patient care.
