Dr Sawsan Saeid is a First5 GP and former Health Equity Focused Trainee, with a special interest in health equity and caring for vulnerable migrants. She is Deputy Clinical Lead for TortureID, a small charity responding to the needs of people who are seeking asylum in the UK and who report torture and other abuses of their human rights. Sawsan is a member of the Art of Medicine Seminar steering group at York Medical Society. She enjoys exploring the intersection between medicine and art, and has seen how it can improve patient care and build empathy & compassion in clinicians.
