Associate Dean, Consultant Anaesthetist and MAHSC Honorary Professor , Manchester NHS Foundation Trust

Professor Sujesh Bansal is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and MAHSC Honorary Clinical Professor at Manchester. He is the Associate Postgraduate Dean in the Northwest Deanery and looks after the LED portfolio in the region. He is also the Director of the Manchester International Fellowship Scheme, a multi-specialty scheme in the Trust.
He has a specific interest in the induction, supervision, support, and career progression of overseas doctors and LEDs. He is regularly invited all over the UK to train doctors, educators, senior managers and MDT colleagues in how organisations can optimise the performance of transcultural teams.
He is a collaborator for the national guidance document ‘Welcoming and Valuing International Medical Graduates: A guide to induction for IMGs recruited to the NHS’, which was launched nationally in June 2022. He is a member of AoMRC's MTI Group, NHSE_WTE IMG Wellbeing Steering Group, and sits in the council of MedEdLeaders-UK.
