Session objectives:
• Consider the advantages of a medical workforce engaged in delivering clinical research? (and disadvantages of the converse scenario)
• Consider how we can better support medical students and doctors in clinical training programmes to participate in, and understand research?
• Hear student/postgraduate trainee experiences of research. Consider if access to participation in research is equitable across the UK?
Session summary:
Research plays a central role in developing better doctors, improving hospitals and delivering high-quality patient care.
