A14: Oral Health Matters! The Work of the Advancing Dental Care Programme

Session summary:
HEE’s Advancing Dental Care (ADC) review programme has undertaken an in-depth review of the education and training pathways available to dentists and other members of the dental team and is proposing a significantly more flexible approach to training pathways to improve job satisfaction, workforce retention in the NHS and a workforce model aligned to the NHS Long Term Plan to improve the delivery of better oral health care for patients. The report (due to be published in March 2021) signposts the training models and structures needed to deliver 21st century oral health and dental care.
