A6: Education in Adversity: Keep Connected and Carry On

Session objectives:

  • To analyse the challenges for postgraduate training during the COVID pandemic from both trainee and trainer perspectives
  • To evaluate how technology can be harnessed to ensure continuity and quality of educational programmes and career development
  • To design future educational programmes based on learning from pandemic strategies

Session summary:
The COVID pandemic resulted in  upheaval for the delivery of postgraduate training. This workshop will review experience of delivery of education and support to both trainees and trainers during this period.  Emphasis will be placed on practical approaches, what was learnt from feedback and how career development may be maintained.
