B14: Service reconfigurations in the NHS: what does it mean for doctors’ training?

Session objectives:

  • To gain knowledge from recent research describing the impact of planned and pandemic related service reconfiguration on doctors in training
  • To reflect on the research findings using delegates own experiences and to share and learn from best-practices
  • To identify strategies to maximise educational opportunities resulting from service change and develop approaches that maintain the best training experience.

Session summary:
Participants will be presented with recent research insights and then engage in a discussion with experts to reflect and share best practices. The session concludes with group work during which participants synthesize acquired knowledge and lived experiences to develop practical strategies to improve doctors’ training experiences.
