  • Balancing competing requirements – the complexity of policy making.
  • Delivering equitable solutions that satisfy multiple stakeholder perspectives.
  • Brainstorming as a route to delivering novel approaches 

Session summary:
There is growing dissatisfaction with the current selection system which makes medical students competitive – rather than team players – and which consigns the weakest students to the least desirable locations. The session will challenge delegates to come up with radical – yet practical and acceptable alternatives.
