C15 (5): Exploring the perceptions of burnout in Foundation Trainees in Wales.
- To recognise the signs and symptoms of burnout
- To identify the individual and organisational contributing factors of burnout
- To appreciate appropriate prevention and management strategies
The prevalence of burnout in doctors has been increasing in recent years. Foundation doctors are particularly at higher risks as the transition from medical school is demanding. Using a mixed-methods approach, we explored the perceptions of burnout in these doctors in Wales with the aim of developing appropriate management strategies.
