C6: E-learning support in the time of Covid

Session objectives:

  • Explore the rapid design and development of content for skills modules during the first wave of the pandemic
  • Share the technological and content quality assurance processes required for monitoring -learning resources during a pandemic
  • Investigate the quantitative and qualitative impact of interprofessional e-skills resources

Session summary:
The Clinical Skills Managed Educational Network developed e-learning modules which supported over 45,000 practitioners during the pandemic.  The modules covered Self-protection, Workplace Protection and Assessment and Management of Patients with Covid 19 across primary and secondary care. Impact was evaluated by “Lockdown in the Larder” sessions and immersive simulation scenarios.
