D1: Medical Licensing Assessment (MLA): Future evaluation of the impact on learning 

Session objectives:

  • Explore the context for the introduction of the MLA for UK medical students and international medical graduates seeking registration via the examination route
  • Explore the MLA model and the intended aim and benefits for stakeholders
  • Host a panel discussion to consider the MLA evaluation activities required to understand impact, including washback on learning

Session summary:
The MLA will launch in early 2024. Planning for evaluation of the MLA is an essential part of the pre-launch programme. What evaluation questions are of most interest to MLA stakeholders? What can we learn from your experiences of evaluation to prepare for the introduction of this large-scale, national assessment?
