Session summary:
We will describe the practicalities of establishing a Responsible Officer Advisory Group and use anonymised case studies to illustrate the benefits we have seen in terms of consistency and clarity of decision making. We will also describe how this supports Heads of School and Training Programme Directors in managing complex cases where escalation to the regulator is considered and clarity of communication with the trainee in difficulty is vital
