Parallel sessions

Parallel sessions form an important part of the DEMEC programme schedule. Select from workshops, symposia / panel discussions. 

Parallel sessions will be run as breakouts over the two-day conference within four breakout tracks taking place on Monday AM, Monday PM, Tuesday AM and Tuesday PM. 

The organising committee invites a diverse range of topics for parallel session presentation. Examples of best practice and case studies are encouraged. 

All parallel sessions will be delivered in person. They will not be livestreamed or presented virtually. Selected parallels will be made available post conference for on demand viewing.

Organisers of a parallel session will be limited to a maximum of 2 moderators/facilitates and a maximum of 5 speakers.

General information

When making your submission, consider the theme of the conference – “Education and training for a globally sustainable workforce - to meet the needs of the people we serve”.

The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence, academic training and educational research into any of the themes below are welcomed/encouraged.

Workshops

Workshops can be run as either 90 or 60 minute sessions.

Workshops will not be recorded due to their interactive nature.

Symposia and panel discussions

Both will be recorded for on demand viewing.

Registration and travel grants

Session facilitators, moderators, chairs and speakers will all be required to register at the appropriate published rates. No free registrations apply.
